For techno boy Rishabh and professor Jyotika, it was not loved at first sight she says. “we both met at a conference and still not fell in love but I think God fell in love with us. My grandparents helped me realise that a friendship with a guy can also be converted into a “husband–wife” relationship. The smile with a blush was enough to prove my happiness at that moment” Jyotika says. She is happy to have done the knotty-affair with her IITian friend cum bestie cum confidante cum partner (in crime) and wishes to continue the bond of friendship more than love.

“Engineering roommates” is what she said when asked to define themselves as a couple. We call this couple “The Jaya-Bachchan” couple to compliment the (Physical) height difference they share! They may vary in heights but their feelings for each other (of course), their thoughts about life, travelling and celebration are all same! Kudos to that!

Yes! The wedding pulao was to be cooked and all the preparations were to be done!! With all the excitement lingering around, our bride had already started the hunt for the perfect piece of jewellery and lehenga. Jyotika quotes “I have always liked the taste of Rajasthan and Gujarat when it comes to clothing. So whenever I imagined myself as a bride I used to visualise a very simple ,graceful bright Indian outfit designed purely with the ethnic sense with a pinch of westernised look. Thankfully my designers Astha and Sidharth (Label : Ans) could gift me the look exactly the same way as I had imagined”. Yes. The pictures we see are the evidence.

According to Jyotika Dastkar melas and Chandni chowk are definitely the right places to hunt for outfits and jewellery. Lajpat Nagar, GK-1 M block market and South Extension are good to checkout too.

D day had finally arrived and our beautiful bride was spotted sporting the prepossessing indo western magenta outfit designed by Astha and Sidharth (Label : Ans). “My wedding outfit was in Brocade patterned silk with fine work of beads. The jewellery was customised by the designers keeping the taste of Rajasthan in mind. I wore Meena Kaari jewellery which was very light in weight”says our naturally blushing bride.

As they say real men dare to wear pink, Rishabh’s light pink Sherwani with a golden stole was complementing Jyotika’s outfit in a beautiful way. “His magenta bandhani turban kept us in synchronisation with each other to reflect the good taste of ethnicity that comes from Rajasthan.” adds Jyotika. Dressed as beautifully as they were, Jyotika and Rishabh took the 7 vows and got stuck with each other forever!
