The brides witnessed nothing but the best in bridal fashion and were able to make perfect choice for their wedding day look. The couture designed by Lalit Dalmia has not only been highly acclaimed at Lakme Fashion Week but has taken fashion to a new zenith.

In a candid chat with Lalit Dalmia, we tried to imbibe his bridal fashion sense as he spills the beans for brides to be a stunner this wedding season.

1.     The Swag Of A North Indian Bride

Lalit is all gaga about the Delhi bridal fashion. He sa that, “A North Indian Bride is the most fashionable bride in India. Delhi is a place where the bridal couture is not only more consumed but also more understood. The way a bride here carries herself in her bridal avatar is second only to Bollywood actresses. The creation of a designer also gets its due credit here.” Well, brides you have one more reason to feel happy about.

He thinks the Wedding Look was a wonderful Initiative at the same time a platform where a stylist, a designer and makeup artist came together to convert a normal person into a stylish personality.

2.     The Ruling Colour for Bridal Fashion

Colour is a very important aspect when it comes to selecting the right bridal outfit. Lalit feels that, “colour changes from season to season. Earthy and pastel palate is for summer while bright, dark and contrast shades are for winter months. The ruling colours for this December are dark maroon, red, bottle green and blue.” This is his take on Bridal Fashion.

He emphasizes on the importance of matching your skin colour with your outfit. “For an Indian skin colour which is neither dark nor fair, bright colours look good. Those having seemingly fair complexion can play with earth shades” says Lalit.

3.     The Right Mantra For Embroidery

Lalit Dalmia Bridal Fashion collection believes in simple embroidery which pays a lot of attention to detailing. He tries to make his Bridal Fashion collection which is ramp ready as well as wearable by brides too. “The embroidery theme for year 2016-17 is very subtle and antique. The artwork which is older than 300-400 years is revamped to suit the modern look. There is also a demand for a fusion of pure zardosi work with light sequence. Also the motifs from Rajasthan heritage are in vogue” quotes Lalit when asked about the kind of work which is trending for bridal lehenga this year.

4.      Comfortable And Contemporary in Bridal Fashion

Dalmia, who is hailed as a self-taught fashion designer, has a very different take on bridal fashion. For him fashion is above age and gender. It is something which should make you comfortable, give self-satisfaction and something that brings out your true self.  He feels that, “Brides these days are preferring very flowy and flared lehengas. This style is not only comfortable but also modern. In fact, it is a style in which a bride can dance and twist with ease.”

5.     Say It With Attitude
